Challenge: User Interface

When we interviewed admin who analyze multiple test, their process took 30 minutes or more. They would have to export multiple assessments individually from our software into a spreadsheet then configure the spreadsheet to put these assessments on a common scale one at a time. There were many systems they used so we had to find a way to bring all of this valuable information into one space.

Track 2

Single Test Analysis

Evolving the way teachers view data by presenting student test results in a digestible and easy-to-understand format utilizing data visualizations and information hierarchy.

Challenge: Digestibility

Before we attempted to solve this problem, teachers and other test proctors we looking at the results of an assessment in our robust data tables with small fonts, which was difficult to read. Our goal was to find a way to allow teachers to quickly digest the information in a format that was easier to understand. This would lead to a quicker turnaround on data comprehension, which would lead to quicker insights and student intervention.

Track 3

StockTalk

Social media app based around stocks and community support, giving users a platform to help build wealth together.

A social-stock app where you can connect with friends and other people in your community and grow wealth together. You have the ability to view different stocks and even your connections positions if they are public. StockTalk is community focused by allowing privacy permissions that allow only your connections to solely view your positions if they are allowed.

Challenge: Privacy

For social apps, they key is community and sharing. Even though we knew this was a very important aspect we also deal with customers stock portfolios, which could be sensitive information to some. We solved this problem by having friend and community specific permissions that allows the user to tailor their privacy to there wants and needs.

Track 4

Timestrider

A self guided tour app that allows a users to see historical facts of buildings in historic towns across the nation.

This prototype was created as a way to have an immersive experience while exploring the cities you visit. You would be able to find historically significant places and creates routes to tour locations of your choice. To add a level of immersion Timestrider would include AR functionality which would allow you to hold your phone up to a location and see information about that place you are viewing.

Challenge: AR

This being my first experience with attempting to have a usable AR interface brought many challenges. I used past examples of digital products with AR technology and used that as a tool to create the AR idea. If historical images were available, the AR function would impose an image of the old area onto the current one. Our team wanted a way to have people interact with their environment around them and we believed that this was the best way to bring the past to life.

Planned, designed, and released three robust product features that is now the selling point for the premium edition of Aware for Eduphoria.
Surpassed Revenue goals by for 2023 fiscal year due to designed premium features and team efforts with Eduphoria's Aware application.
My team's prototype idea won third place in the national BEA Festival of Media Arts competition in the category of Emerging Media and Technology in March 2020.

HELLO!

I'm Jojuan Delk

A digital product designer currently living in Suffolk, Virginia. I have worked in design companies based in Ed-tech and Fintech. My main hobbies include making music, reading , and learning languages in my free time. I started designing due to my love of creating a good experience. Whether that is music or design, I want to bring my unique and positive outlook on life to the digital products that help people everyday.

CAREER

My Career so far

I started my career at a summer internship with a small design company based out of San Francisco, CA. After that I wanted to help other beginner designers such as me, thus becoming a TA for a design bootcamp based in Austin, TX. I am currently working as a Product Designer for a Ed-Tech company based out of Plano, TX. I work alongside project managers and engineers to plan, research, design, and build useful products that students and teachers use daily. I am excited to continue improving myself to reach new heights as a designer.
